PASTORAL SEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT

The “Exciting” West End Baptist Church, located at 925 Culebra Avenue, San Antonio, Texas, was established in1905, and has had only eight pastors. The church is prayerfully and actively seeking our next Pastor. San Antonio is the seventh largest city in the United States with a rich cultural heritage and a strong military presence. Applicants will be expected to provide sound biblical doctrine, outreach, administrative and servant leadership to a multigeneration and multicultural congregation. As Pastor, the selected applicant will be responsible for leadership in  growing church ministries and attracting more worshippers. A sound understanding of Biblical truths should enable the selected applicant to exhibit the ability to communicate these truths through teaching, preaching, and example. In addition, the applicant  represents the congregation in denominational and community organizations to learn ways the church can support and engage with them. The applicant should be a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel and have at least a Master of Divinity or comparable graduate degree from an accredited theological seminary.
